Get the chance to win this beautiful Watercolor illustration of a Catesby's Gentian - Giclee print!
Catesby's gentian is a plant native to the southeastern United States, named for Mark Catesby, who depicted it in plate number 70 of his "The Nature History of Carolina, Florida, and the Bahama Islands" of 1754. Flowers appear in early autumn, and range, in color from a pale pinkish lavender to a rich peacock blue.
Limited edition Giclee art print: Signed and numbered by the Ellen Fishburne, the artist.
Original: 8.5" x 11" Watercolor on paper, completed in 2021. Currently in the private collection of the artist

The Artist
Fishburne grew up in Statesville, NC, receiving private instruction from Louise Gilbert. She earned her BFA in Communications Art from East Carolina University and resides in Columbia, SC. She holds active memberships in the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.
