Win a beautiful Watercolor illustration of a Woodpecker - Giclee print!
The Pileated woodpecker is the United States' largest member of the woodpecker family. Only the Ivorybill, now largely thought to be extinct, was larger. Both birds were depicted in Mark Catesby's "The Natural History of Carolina, Florida, and the Bahama Islands" of 1754. This bird is a male; females have only black facial markings.
Limited edition giclee art print: Signed and numbered by the Ellen Fishburne, the artist.
Original: 8.5" x 11" Watercolor on paper, completed in 2021. Currently in the private collection of the artist.
Print size: 11" x 14" unframed.

The Artist
Fishburne grew up in Statesville, NC, receiving private instruction from Louise Gilbert. She earned her BFA in Communications Art from East Carolina University and resides in Columbia, SC. She holds active memberships in the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.
