Charles M. Russell, the "cowboy artist," likely encountered the wild pig or javelina in Mexico or the American Southwest. This bronze aftercast was created for Gene Autry from a mold made off of a Russell original by the National Heritage Collectors Society and was part of his personal collection displayed at his Brookdale estate in Studio City. Sculpture is 3.5 x 2.875 x 2.375 in. and mounted on a 1.25 inch-thick verde marble base. Comes with a letter of authenticity.
