The name Seisakushu translates from Japanese as "The Creator" - and in the truest sense, that is precisely what this bull does. A moderately framed fullblood Akaushi bull filled with front-line genetics, C221 was sired by Hikari, a son of Dai 10 Mitsumaru over Kazutomo, who was a combination of the famed Dai 2 Shigenami and Dai 10 Shigekawa lines. On the dam side, the convergence deepens: C221's second sire ties back to these same two famous Akaushi lines through Shigemaru - a son of Dai 2 Shigenami over a Dai 10 Shigekawa daughter - and his second dam is the famed Dai 8 Marunami, one of the original import dams of the breed. What emerges from this deliberate stacking of foundation genetics is a bull of exceptional proven performance: the Sumo program's most rigorous carcass and growth selection philosophy applied to Akaushi's most potent original building blocks.

The Sire: Hikari - Foundation Import, Breed-Leading Growth Sire
Hikari arrived in America in 1994 as one of only three Red Wagyu bulls ever to leave Japan alive. A son of Dai 10 Mitsumaru - ranked the greatest bull in Japan at the time of export and sire of Heartbrand Big Al, Kaedemaru, and the Elephant Cow - Hikari is confirmed by AWA Breedplan as a breed-leading sire for 200, 400, and 600 day weights. His positive characteristics include calving ease and daughters that are some of the heaviest milking Akaushi females in the breed. His sire progeny include WSI Umemaru, TWA Kajikari, TWA Kotsukari, and Heartbrand Hercules 2619A. Now deceased, Hikari cannot produce new semen - every straw of his direct sons' genetics becomes more irreplaceable with each passing year.

The Dam Line: Shigemaru x Dai 8 Marunami - Power, Thickness, and the Greatest Original Import Female
Shigemaru is regarded by many as the most versatile foundation bull, known for size and thickness, with progeny described as broody and powerful. His dam-line influence in C221 mirrors that of his sire line - both Hikari and Shigemaru trace their excellence through the same ancestral wells of Dai 2 Shigenami and Dai 10 Shigekawa, creating a strategic linebreeding of the Shigenami-Shigekawa genetic axis across both the top and bottom of the pedigree.

The anchor of the dam line is Dai 8 Marunami - one of the most celebrated of the nine original 1994 foundation females. Dai 8 Marunami is regarded by many breeders as the best Akaushi female exported to the U.S., acclaimed by many established breeders as just as deserving as Akiko. Her sire Dai 3 Mitsumaru 30 ranked third in the Japanese Red Wagyu Registry for A4 and A5 carcasses. She is considered by many to be the greatest Red Wagyu cow - and she also produced Tamamaru, another great bull. The dam of Heartbrand Red Emperor (Big Al × Dai 8 Marunami), whose progeny won shows from Denver to Houston, Marunami is the dam-line foundation from which C221 draws his structural capacity and carcass depth. That C221 carries her directly as second dam - while simultaneously carrying her genetic influence reinforced through the Shigenami line on his sire side - makes this pedigree a genuinely concentrated expression of her proven excellence.
