Seeking a week of Mediterranean tranquility? Discover the beauty, history, and timeless charm of Tuscany with a one-week stay at Casa Scale, part of Borgo di Recenza, an ancient village nestled in the wooded Sienese countryside just outside Siena, Italy.
Accommodating up to six guests, this exceptional retreat offers an authentic opportunity to experience one of Italy's most celebrated regions.
Overlooking the historic manor house, Casa Scale is a charming complex of rustic stone apartments that has been thoughtfully restored while preserving its traditional character. The residence includes two private apartments, each with its own entrance and access to a shared garden. The larger apartment features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open kitchen, and a welcoming living space with a fireplace, while the second apartment accommodates two guests with a private bedroom and bathroom.
The story of Borgo di Recenza stretches back more than a thousand years. Built upon an ancient Etruscan settlement and first documented around the year 1000, the village developed around the Pieve di San Giovanni Battista, one of the oldest parish churches in the region. Today, it remains a peaceful place where history and the natural beauty of the Tuscan countryside come together.
Reserve: $4,000. No expiration; 2027 bookings are preferred, with spring through fall recommended. The winning bidder will be connected with the property manager following the auction to arrange their stay.
