This trio of native Virginia songbirds brings a welcome glow of warmth against the quiet backdrop of winter. Though each photograph features a different species, the snowy branches and vibrant flashes of color create a beautifully cohesive collection.
Included are three limited-edition photographs by renowned American nature and wildlife photographer Thomas D. Mangelsen:
"The Harvest - Bohemian Waxwing" #826/1500 - The collectible edition of this striking photograph is no longer in print.
For more than 45 years, Mangelsen has traveled the world photographing some of Earth's last great wild places. His work has appeared in publications including National Geographic, Audubon, Smithsonian, Life, Newsweek, Natural History, and many others. He has also been featured on The Today Show, Good Morning America, 60 Minutes, and other national news programs.
Beyond his photography, Mangelsen is a passionate conservationist. He is co-founder of The Cougar Fund, a founding Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers, serves on the international advisory council for the Jane Goodall Institute, and is a board ambassador for the Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance.
Dimensions: Two matching frames measure 16" x 13", and the third measures 15" x 12".
Thanks to the generosity of members of the Wildlife Center's Board of Directors, shipping is included for the winning bidder (U.S. addresses only).
