Project Description: (Student 1) I was learning about HPV in health class, so when my teacher talked about it, it inspired me to do it. My partner and I love cats and our favorite color is blue, so that's why we wanted to make the mask to represent ourselves. HPV is a common virus that can cause several types of cancer, including cervical, anal, penile, vaginal, vulvar, and oropharyngeal cancers. It is important to understand the types of HPV and their potential to cause cancer. Get vaccinated, regular screening, use protection, stay informed.

(Student 2) One thing that inspired me to participate in the HPV mask project is the lessons I took in my health class about head and neck cancer, and how do people with this condition really suffer to get the treatment needed to get rid of this disease. My partner and I chose this design because we love cats so much, and focused on the color blue because it's our favorite color. So, we used our common things that we love to make the design. I've learned that HPV Cancer prevention focuses on a vaccine to prevent 90% of HPV related cancers. I can share what I have learned by spreading awareness about it using social media tools and share it with my family through communication.
