The Tara Miller Melanoma Foundation was started by Tara Miller in 2014 after being diagnosed with melanoma and realizing the alarming odds and lack of options for patients. She knew the money she raised would not make a difference in her fight but wanted to change the odds for the next person. In Tara's words, "Although we can't change what the statistics on melanoma have been...we chose to make the best of it and try to help change where they are going".

Tara tragically lost her 15 month battle in October of 2014 at 29 years old. We are more dedicated than ever to honoring her legacy and living by her "make the best of it" motto by funding research that will get us one step closer to finding a cure. To date, TMMF has funded more than $10 Million to melanoma research.

When Tara started planning the first event, she was clear on her mission - to raise money for melanoma research. It was also very important to her that the event be a fun night for everyone who attends. She wanted a cocktail party where people can mingle, enjoy an open bar and great food and shop the silent auction that is full of experiences, vacations, memorabilia and more. The event continues to honor Tara's vision for what a fun event should be along with her passion for raising money to find a cure.

Tara's family funds all event and foundation costs to ensure every dollar raised goes to melanoma research and is 100% tax deductible.
