Description of the Piece: This low ceramic bowl was made by the artist Valda Cox. This bowl is low with thick walls that slope inwards. The outside of the bowl is glazed with a dark earthy color with a lightly glazed rim. The bottom of the bowl is unglazed and has the artist's first name as the signature.
Artist Bio: Valda Cox (1934-2022) was native to Latvia. She was a full time potter for over 40 years. She specialized in porcelain and was known for her bold glazes on her ceramic works.
