Title: Nebraska House
Materials: Dark Stoneware, Slip, Glaze, Decal
Dimensions: 3" x 3" x 2"
Description of the Piece: This piece is hand built with slabs of dark stoneware. It is a small house form with a hole on the back so it can be hung on the wall. The dark clay body was covered in white slip and then glazed. It is fired again to a lower temperature for the ceramic decal. The decal melts into the glaze surface and is permanently encased. I created the decal from a photograph I took when I lived in Nebraska.
