Not Attending?
You can still donate!OLu Missions is headed to Uganda!
OLu Missions is sending a team to serve in Tororo, Uganda in June of 2026. We will be serving at Fairmont Secondary School, hosting STEM and art camps, and putting on a play with both OLu and Ugandan students. OLu has also committed to raising funds for two wells that our team will dedicate when we're there in June!
What is a Water Walk?
A Water Walk emulates the daily experience of getting clean water. Every day, residents of Uganda have to walk multiple miles each way to get water in order to survive. Aside from the distance, they typically carry at least 5 gallons of water. During OLu's Water Walk, participants will walk 12 laps around our football field (equivalent to 3.2 miles) while carrying a gallon of water in each hand.
Who can participate?
This event is open to the public. There is no age minimum, and we encourage families to do the walk together!
What do proceeds benefit?
Proceeds from registration fees and any additional fundraising will go directly towards drilling two deep water boreholes in villages in Uganda. In addition to funding these two wells, funds will also go towards our team serving in Tororo, Uganda this summer!
