Artist Bio
Larry Spaid is a Professor Emeritus of Art at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. He received an MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA in 1973 and a BFA from the John Herron School of Art, Indiana University, Indianapolis, IN in 1969. Spaid has been exhibiting his work since 1976, including 17 solo exhibitions in the US, the UK and Italy. His work is found in many private, corporate and public collections. Public collections include: Ball State University, Muncie, IN: Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis, IN; Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Philadelphia, PA; Lessing Rosenwald Print Collection, National Gallery, Washington, DC; Temple University Law School, Philadelphia, PA; Penn Medicine, Philadelphia, PA; Trenton State College, Trenton, NJ; University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA; University of North Carolina, Greensboro, NC; University of Tokyo Museumof Fine Arts, Tokyo, Japan; and Widener University and Widener University Law School, Widener, PA.
