I explore territory where ABEX bleeds into Philly handstyles and Wycheds.
Artist Biography
Tyler Kline is a Philadelphia-based artist, educator, and curator. Born in Stone Mountain, GA, he earned a BA in Anthropology and Sculpture from Portland State University and an MFA in Installation and Sculpture from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Kline currently teaches sculpture at Drexel University, 3D Design at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, and Art Appreciation at Rowan University,
Kline has curated exhibitions nationally, blending visual anthropology with cross-disciplinary aesthetics and emerging media. His art includes immersive installations, net art, and urban interventions, exploring the boundaries between painting, sculpture, performance, video, and printmaking, and reflecting on social and cultural structures in contemporary life.
