VIEW ITEMSAbout the Tournament & Your Sponsorship Impact
The Putt for Presents Golf Charity Tournament brings golfers together for a meaningful day of fun, connection, and generosity in support of Birthday Wishes.
Each year, Birthday Wishes celebrates more than 5,000 children experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity across New England, New York, and California, partnering with over 200 shelter and housing programs to ensure birthdays are not forgotten during times of instability.
When families are focused on meeting urgent needs like shelter and safety, milestones such as birthdays can be unintentionally missed, not from lack of love, but from lack of resources. Research shows that family celebrations play a vital role in children's emotional well-being, sense of belonging, and resilience, especially when routines are disrupted.
Through thoughtfully prepared Birthday-in-a-Box celebrations, Birthday Wishes empowers caregivers to create joyful, meaningful birthday moments for their children, restoring dignity and a sense of normalcy.
Your participation in the Putt for Presents Tournament helps turn a day on the course into hundreds of birthdays celebrated for children who need joy most.

"Celebrating a child's birthday gives families joy, dignity, and a sense of normalcy during times of instability. It empowers caregivers and reminds children that they are valued and loved." - Housing & Stabilization Coordinator, YWCA Northeastern MA
See the Impact
The heart of this work is reflected in Elodie's story, which shares what being celebrated on her birthday meant during a time of housing instability and why moments like these can be life-changing.
"That birthday reminded me that I mattered."

Tournament Play, Prizes & Challenges
The Putt for Presents Golf Charity Tournament is designed to be a fun, social, and welcoming experience for golfers of all skill levels. The event will be played in a scramble format, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the round together.
Throughout the day, golfers will have opportunities to compete for team prizes and participate in exciting on-course challenges, including a $30,000 Hole-in-One Challenge, as well as optional contests such as putting and closest-to-the-pin competitions. Select challenges will feature sponsor-provided prizes, and some include a small entry fee that directly supports Birthday Wishes' programs.
Whether you're playing for the prizes, the camaraderie, or the cause, every swing helps ensure more children experiencing homelessness can celebrate birthdays filled with joy, dignity, and hope.
