Explore Tivoli Bay by canoe or kayak with writer, naturalist, kayaker, and teacher Susan Fox Rogers. Susan has a wealth of knowledge about the natural world and specifically the Hudson River estuary. Tivoli Bay is rich in biodiversity, and you are sure to see a variety of birds, turtles and plant life. The Bay is separated from the Hudson by railroad tracks, which makes for calm water. If weather permits, Susan will include a paddle to Magdalen Island a little south of the bay. The trip will take about 3 hours and would be best in September.
About Susan Fox Rogers:
Susan Fox Rogers is a writer, naturalist, teacher, rock climber and kayaker. Her first book: My Reach; A Hudson River Memoir is about her experiences kayaking on the river. Other books include Learning the Birds: A Mid-Life Adventure and Solo: On Her Own Adventure. She has traveled to Alaska and Antarctica and, of course, knows the Hudson River intimately.
Also included: a copy of My Reach:A Hudson River Memoir
