2026 Montana Tech Digger Hockey Prospect Camp

Thursday, March 26 - Saturday, March 28, 2026

Are you interested in becoming a Montana Tech Digger? This event is an excellent opportunity to see what Montana Tech has to offer you in terms of a fantastic education and experience, all while giving you the chance to show us you have what it takes to wear the copper on the ice!

This comprehensive weekend includes both on- and off-ice activities over three days, including:

2 1-hour practice and evaluation sessions over 2 days (Thursday, Friday).
Prospect mixer game in front of Butte, Montana's great fanbase! Prospects will be mixed with current Diggers in a clash that is sure to be memorable.
A social event Thursday night after practice at the Vu Villa(food will be provided).
Campus tours Friday at either our Main Campus or the Highlands Campus.
Informational dinner at the Butte Depot.
Optional on-campus mine tours, trolley tours, and other activities in Butte's surrounding area.

Thursday, March 26th (Optional 1st day)
Hotel Check-in
6:30 pm to 7:30 pm - Arrive at Butte Community Ice Center for team and staff meet and greet, locker-room, and facilities tour
7:30 pm to 8:30 pm - Evaluation and practice (Butte Community Ice Center - 1700 Wall St.)
9:00 pm - Off-ice social (Vu Villa - 521 W Park St.)

Friday, March 27
Campus Tour (time dependent on campus)
3:30 pm - Rink and facilities tour (if unable to attend Thursday)
5:00 pm - Team and league information session, dinner provided (Butte Depot)
7:00 pm to 9:00 pm - Evaluation and practice (Butte Community Ice Center - 1700 Wall St.)

Saturday, March 28
Free day to explore Butte and the surrounding area - player chaperones available upon request
Prospect mixer game 7:30 pm
