Yoga + Community Donation Drive
Partnering with Interfaith Ministries of Denton and Denton County Friends of the Family
@ Greater Denton Arts Council
This March, we're inviting our community to move with purpose and give back in a tangible way.
Spring Into Action begins with a one-hour all-levels relaxing yoga class, designed to calm and reconnect us as we move into a new season. After class, representatives from Interfaith Ministries of Denton and Denton County Friends of the Family will join us to share how their organization supports individuals and families in our community through access to essential resources and housing support.
As part of this event, we're hosting a focused donation drive to directly support Interfaith Ministries of Denton and Denton County Friends of the Family. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring donation items to support these efforts. The items most needed at this time include:
- Diapers (sizes 5, 6, & 7)
- Baby wipes
- Tampons
- Personal care products (soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash)
All donated items will be collected on-site at GDAC and go directly to supporting neighbors in need right here in Denton.
If you're unable to attend but would still like to support, monetary donations are also greatly appreciated. You can give directly to Interfaith Ministries of Denton here: (donate to IFMoD) and Denton County Friends of the Family here: (donate to DCFoF).
Interfaith Ministries of Denton provides assistance to vulnerable members of our community by offering utility support, basic necessities, referrals to partner agencies, and advocacy for affordable housing - serving individuals and families of all backgrounds.
Denton County Friends of the Family provides compassionate, comprehensive support to individuals impacted by rape, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Through direct services and community partnerships, DCFOF works to promote safety, hope, healing, justice, and prevention across Denton County.

- Donations accepted on-site
- BYOM - limited loaner mats will be available, and props will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
