From his website:

"On a frigid January day, a wolf makes its way through Grand Teton National Park, his yellow eyes contrasting with his black fur. Thought to be from the Wapiti Lake Pack in Yellowstone, which dens some 70 miles to the north, this young wolf likely struck out on his own in search of a mate and territory to call his own. With various large established packs in the area finding unoccupied territory for himself might prove difficult, though there is always a chance in the wilds of northwest Wyoming."

This breathtaking image was captured by Thomas D. Mangelsen, one of the most influential nature photographers in the world. In the tradition of Ansel Adams and Eliot Porter, Mangelsen has spent a lifetime exploring Earth's wildest places, bearing witness to moments of rare beauty, and this image is among his most striking.

Available as a 20"x30" collector edition museum mounted print, printed on Fujiflex Crystal Archive paper for exceptional color vibrancy and long-term stability, and mounted to a clear rigid sheet of acrylic. Each print is hand-signed by Mangelsen and carries a unique edition number, making it not only a stunning work of art but also a rare and lasting treasure.
