ARTIST BIO
Jeannine Dabb, a resident of York, Pennsylvania, transitioned from a two-decade career in medical aesthetics to an artistic pursuit. During her tenure in the medical field, she served on the National Board for Plastic Surgery Skin Care Specialists for eight years, including a tenure as president. This experience nurtured her passion for painting, prompting her to return to college and pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in Art History from York College of Pennsylvania in December 2020.
Her artistic abilities have garnered recognition, with her work being acquired and commissioned by esteemed institutions such as Penn State Hampden Hospital, Penn State Lancaster Hospital, and Women's and Babies University Health Systems of San Antonio, Texas. Jeannine's consistent selection for local and international juried exhibitions has resulted in numerous awards, including a
grant from the Cultural Alliance of York, which supported her solo exhibition,
"High Tides," held at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.
Jeannine's artistic journey culminated in the successful completion of hersrketView Arts, which is a part of York College of Pennsylvania and specifically the Center for Community Engagement. Her studio is with the Artists Underground at MarketView Arts.
Jeannine's art has been bought and commissioned by three hospitals, including Penn State Hampden Hospital, Penn State Lancaster Hospital, and Women's and Babies University Health Systems of San Antonio Texas. She has consistently been selected for local and international juried shows and has won many awards, most recently receiving a grant from the Cultural Alliance of York to help with her solo show, "High Tides," which was showed at Hood College in Frederick, MD. Last spring, Jeannine attended Mt. Gretna School of Arts and Wilson College to start her MFA graduate studies. At the start of her MFA, she won first place at the York Art Association juried by Carol Buck and the Rottler Award.
