This year's auction theme, La Belle Époque, the beautiful era, reflects a golden age of creativity, innovation, and cultural vibrancy, one that mirrors the spirit of our school.
Just as that historic period was defined by flourishing arts, intellectual curiosity, and a deep appreciation for community, our school is a place where young minds explore, create, and dream. From art and music to science and technology, curiosity and individuality are nurtured at 87, fostering a love of learning that echoes the era's energy.
Beyond academics, La Belle Époque was also a time of connection, with salons and cafés serving as hubs for lively discussion and collaboration. Our school embodies this same spirit, where friendships grow, ideas are shared, and community binds us together. Whether families supporting one another, teachers guiding with passion, or laughter filling our hallways, PS 87 reflects the joy and optimism of that age.
As we gather for this year's auction, we celebrate more than a theme. We honor the creativity, camaraderie, and boundless potential that define PS 87, a time of possibility and a chance to invest in our children's future.
ATTIRE FOR THE EVENING
A modern interpretation inspired by La Belle Époque. We're borrowing a few playful details from the era, think bows, hats, and elegant accents, rather than full period costumes. Need outfit inspiration? GO HERE!
