A remarkable pairing of music history, vintage memorabilia, and one of the most iconic albums in American music. This exceptional package features a signed original 1978 Netherlands concert poster from Don McLean's European tour, paired with a signed vinyl copy of his landmark 1971 album, American Pie. The striking vintage poster promotes McLean's May 1978 performances in the Netherlands. By this point in his career, McLean had already established himself as an icon of American songwriting, thanks in large part to the enduring success of "American Pie." Adding even more historical significance, the poster features De Vereeniging, the celebrated concert hall in Nijmegen, established in 1915. The accompanying signed American Pie LP, released in 1971, showcases McLean's defining masterpiece. The album, famously inspired in part by the life and legacy of Buddy Holly, became a cultural landmark and reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Together, these two signed pieces offer a fascinating snapshot of Don McLean's enduring legacy-from the release of American Pie in 1971 to his European touring career in the late 1970s and beyond.
