VIP Day with Dr. Kauffman

Spend a behind-the-scenes day with Dr. Kauffman in the Humane Society of Summit County's clinic and get an inside look at the compassion and care that help animals heal and thrive. This unique experience for up to 2 people offers a rare opportunity to observe how our in-house veterinary team evaluates, treats, and medically supports shelter animals each day. From exams and treatments to the thoughtful teamwork that goes into every decision, you'll see firsthand the dedication it takes to provide high-quality veterinary care in a shelter setting. This experience is perfect for animal lovers, aspiring veterinarians, or anyone who wants a meaningful glimpse into the lifesaving work happening every day at the shelter.

Stipulations:

• This experience is for up to two (2) people
• Experience will be scheduled on a mutually agreed upon date and time with Dr. Kauffman.
  • Note: Thursdays in September and October are best. Timing will be roughly six (6) hours from 9am-2pm.
• The winner will be observing only, not participating in medical procedures.
• The winner must fill out confidentiality, privacy agreement, and liability forms prior to entering the clinic.
• Due to the nature of the Humane Investigations we treat, photos or videos will NOT be permitted to be taken without express permission from HSSC staff.
• Must be 18 years or older to win.
  Recommended dress for experience is scrubs or business casual with comfortable shoes.
