Private Art Visit of the Historic Dominican Church of Saint Vincent Ferrer with Mrs. Maria Grizzetti, O.P., of our School's Theology Faculty, and Director of the Department of Campus Ministry, and Fr. Raymond LaGrange, O.P., our School Chaplain and Parochial Vicar.

This visit may be scheduled for you and your immediate family members or up to three guests. It will last 1.5 hours and conclude with coffee and conversation in the parish parlors. The visit will be arranged in the spring on a mutually convenient Saturday morning following the Parish's 9:30 am Dominican Rite Mass, on a date that does not conflict with the Parish's liturgical functions.

Enjoy a guided visit to discover the sacred significance of the Church's design and her hidden masterpieces by visiting areas not commonly seen by the public. You are invited to contemplate the sacral beauty of its Gothic Art, visit the high sanctuary, discover the stunning symbolism in the historic Charles Connick-stained glass windows, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the shrines.

Consecrated in 1918, the Church of Saint Vincent Ferrer is on the National Register of Historic Places as a foremost example of the English Gothic Revival style. Designed by Bertram Goodhue, the eminent architect also of St. Thomas Church on Fifth Avenue, the Church of Saint Vincent Ferrer is a masterful example of theological architecture at the service of the preaching mission of the Order of Preachers: The Dominicans. The Dominican Friars have served its parish community since 1897, and the Dominican Sisters have served its educational mission since 1954.

We look forward to hosting you and thank you very much for your support!
