Mrs. Hrabusicky's 8th grade artists reimagined Three Machines by Wayne Thiebaud, adding a bold pop-art twist inspired by Roy Lichtenstein. Students worked together to recreate Thiebaud's dimensional forms and rich color, then layered in a dynamic, comic-book-style background inspired by Lichtenstein's Sinking Sun. Using graphic lines, bold contrast, and vibrant pop-art energy, they transformed this classic composition into a striking, contemporary masterpiece. Each student contributed their own section - and every name is thoughtfully incorporated in or around the portion they painted - making this piece both a collaborative work of art and a lasting keepsake of their 8th grade year. A statement piece full of color, character, and class pride - perfect for commemorating this milestone year.
