Mr. Kassebaum's 8th grade artists put their own creative spin on the iconic Four Ice Cream Cones by Wayne Thiebaud, blending it with the bold pop-art influence of Andy Warhol. Students worked collaboratively to recreate Thiebaud's rich textures and mouthwatering dimension, then elevated the piece with a vibrant background inspired by Warhol's signature use of bold color, dramatic shadows, and graphic repetition. Each student contributed their own section of the painting - and their name is thoughtfully incorporated in or around the area they painted - making this not just a stunning visual statement, but a personal keepsake of their final year. A colorful, contemporary artwork that captures the talent, personality, and legacy of the 8th grade class - and a truly special way to commemorate their time at ICS.
