The Sport Management Club at Syracuse University was founded in 2004 and is one of the most popular clubs on campus. It is open to all students from all majors. The club prides itself on providing an experiential learning opportunity that allows students to enhance their sports industry experience. This is done by involvement with community service, listening to guest speakers from the industry, and doing philanthropic work that serves the University and surrounding community.


Over the past 20 years, the club has hosted the Annual Charity Sports Auction and raised $772,929 for various charities in central New York.  Each item is generously donated by individuals, companies, and alumni - locally, regionally, and nationally. The items consist of sports memorabilia, Syracuse University items, gift baskets, event tickets, experiences, and a wide range of items that would be appropriate holiday gifts.


The beneficiary of the 2025 event is Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. Support for Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital is made possible through The Upstate Foundation, established in 1976 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Opened in 2009, Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital provides safe, effective, innovative, and family-centered care to children across 22 counties, treating over 100,000 pediatric encounters annually. 


Online bidding will open 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 18th and run through 9:00pm on Sunday, November 23rd. The in-person component of the Auction will take place during the Syracuse vs. Monmouth Men's Basketball Game at 9:00pm on Tuesday, November 18th.

Bidding and Shipping Rules (if shipping is chosen)


  • Upon auction close out: winning bidders will be charged for their item using the card on file. Shipping will also be processed on that card, after the close of the auction.
  • Shipping charges will be applied after the close of the auction (not included in the item price). All winners are responsible for paying for the shipping of their item(s).
  • Shipping price will be determined on the size of the item and its destination.
  • Shipping will be standardized through USPS (14 business days) unless specified by the customer. If there is an immediate need for an item, email us at [email protected] to make other arrangements.
  • All items will be available for local (Syracuse) pick up at Goldstein Student Center (401 Skytop Rd, Syracuse, NY 13210) on Saturday, December 6th from 12:00-4:00pm. To schedule item shipment, email us at [email protected] prior to 12pm EST on Monday, December 1st with your mailing address. If you cannot pick up on this day and you do not email to make another arrangement, your item will be shipped to the address on file (standard shipping rates apply).
