We provide outdoor recreational and social activities for veterans coping with military-related physical, cognitive, and emotional difficulties. Our goal is to get veterans out of the home and participating in activities that promote camaraderie, self-esteem, and a connection to the outdoors. All WAS Veterans Programs are available 100% on scholarship thanks to the generous support of our donors.

Highly Decorated 2025

Veterans, their families, and supporters of WAS are invited to the 13th annual Highly Decorated event on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Hosted by Snowbird Resort, this event kicks off the holiday season by celebrating veterans, service members, and their families with a day filled with recreation, community, and cheer! Everyone is invited to enjoy hot chocolate at the tree lighting ceremony on the Plaza Deck following their day on the mountain.

2025 Schedule of Events:

11:30: Veterans & Servicemembers can pick up their lift tickets (Snowbird Center, Level 2)

11:30 - 13:30: Veteran Resource Fair in the Cottonwood C room (Snowbird Center, Level 2)

15:30: Apres-ski reception with light refreshments in the Cottonwood C room (Snowbird Center, Level 2)

16:30: Tree lighting ceremony with music, hot chocolate, drawings, candle lighting, and more! (Snowbird Plaza Deck)
