At Make-A-Wish , we know that a wish is more than just a fleeting moment-it's a spark of magic that ignites hope, strength, and resilience in children battling critical illnesses. A wish has the power to transform lives, bringing joy and inspiration to wish kids and their families while reminding us all that anything is possible-even the dreams that once felt out of reach.
This year's theme is "Magic"-as we come together to celebrate the magic of wishes and the extraordinary moments that happen when a wish comes true.
Join us on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at The Willows at Ashcombe Mansion for an enchanting evening chaired by Steve Kindler Sr., Owner of Kindler & Crimmins Associates, and Stephen Kindler Jr., President and CEO of National Fitness Partners.
We are honored to present the Heroes of Hope Award to A.P. Williams Construction, whose enduring commitment to Make-A-Wish has created a lasting impact across the Susquehanna Valley.
Enjoy an evening filled with wonder and celebration, featuring heavy hors d'oeuvres, fine wines, inspiring stories from local wish kids and families, and a special program including an exciting live auction. You'll even experience the magic of a wish coming to life-right before your eyes.
Come together with community leaders and friends of Make-A-Wish to witness the joy and wonder a wish can bring.

Meet Kylee, a local wish child
Kylee is a joyful, spirited 9-year-old living with a rare endocrine disorder. Her medical journey began when she was just four months old after a sudden seizure turned her family's world upside down. Two months in the hospital, countless tests, and a lifetime of feeding tubes, daily medications, and constant care followed.
But when you meet Kylee, you don't see the diagnosis. You see a bright smile, hear a giggle that fills the room, and feel the strength of someone who refuses to be defined by her condition.
When her wish came true, that spirit soared.
Kylee's wish was to attend the Once Upon a Wish Ball at Walt Disney World-and for one unforgettable week, she wasn't a patient. She was a princess.
Her adventure began with a pajama party alongside her cousin, followed by splash-filled days on water slides, dazzling fireworks, and the royal treatment at a magical makeover. With the help of fairy godmothers-in-training, Kylee's hair and makeup were done to match the princess she's always dreamed of becoming. The final touch? A one-of-a-kind crown in soft pinks, radiant reds, and golden yellows-designed just for her Belle dress.
But it wasn't just about the dress or the destination. It was the feeling. The joy. The freedom to be a child.
She laughed freely, made new friends, and lived each moment wrapped in wonder. In that magical space, far from doctor visits and daily routines, Kylee rediscovered what it meant to just be herself.
Her mom, Keyona, shared, "Because of Make-A-Wish, my daughter truly felt like a princess. The joy, confidence, and sense of wonder she experienced will stay with her forever. I cannot thank you enough for the love, care, and generosity you poured into making this wish come true."
That's the power of a wish.
For Kylee, it brought happiness, healing, and the belief that anything is possible. For her family, it was a reminder that even in the hardest times, hope still shines.
This is what a wish does-it transforms. It uplifts. And it reminds every child like Kylee that who they are matters, and joy can still be found, even in the hardest moments.
