About POP Table Captains

Table Captains commit to filling a table of 10 at Women United's 15th Annual Power of the Purse, which is taking place Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Connecticut Convention Center. As a Power of the Purse Table Captain, you will be a part of a network of philanthropists committed to giving, advocating and volunteering to help close financial gaps and create opportunities so everyone succeeds. Together, we are United to End Poverty.

About Power of the Purse

Power of the Purse is a perfect opportunity to network, have fun and support a cause important to all of us - financially empowering women and their families. Proceeds from the fundraiser fund Women United-supported initiatives that help teach local women to effectively manage their money and achieve financial goals. Through one-on-one coaching and education, participants learn how to create a budget, reduce debt, improve credit scores, build savings, screen for benefits, earn referrals to affordable services and emergency assistance, and progress their careers.
