Fill your freezer! This hunt is located on private property southwest of Gretna,
Nebraska in Sarpy County. It is located on over 200 acres of private property,
but the hunter(s) will hunt in a fort and stay within a 10-acre parameter while
retrieving deer. This fort is located next to a food plot (family garden).
Parking is close to the fort, and the fort has a buddy heater and electricity.
Get your River Antlerless Doe permit and habitat stamp from the Nebraska Game and
Parks. This hunt will be during the January 2027 Whitetail Doe Deer season that
generally runs January 1 - January 15th.
Hunters will provide their own transportation, weapon, and ammunition. No
lodging. No meals. Hunter must obey all Nebraska Game and Parks and landowner
rules. Hunter must sign the landowner waiver of liability agreement prior to the
hunt. Hunter will work directly with the landowner on all logistics prior to the
hunt.
Nearby lockers are Elmwood Meat Processing and Wahoo Locker (within 40 minutes).
Additional Landowner Rules:
Hunter(s) will track and gut their own deer.
If a 4-wheeler is needed to retrieve the deer, the hunter will pay $30.00 for
this service each time. Otherwise, a plastic Walmart sled with a rope is the best
retrieval tool.
