The Gretna Public Schools Foundation is proud to host the 2nd Annual Game Changer Gala, supporting the Gretna Public Schools District's Mental & Behavioral Health initiatives.
Through a strong partnership between the Foundation, the District, and Complete Wellness, we're helping ensure every Gretna student has access to the mental health support they need to thrive.
Honorary Chairs - Jim & Natalie Gregory
The 2026 Gala Committee is pleased to announce Honorary Chairs, Jim & Natalie Gregory. Their outstanding leadership and dedication to the students, faculty, staff, and families in the District has been felt throughout the years.
Jim and Natalie Gregory have proudly called Gretna home since 1985 and have spent decades investing their time, talents, and hearts into the people and schools of this community.
Jim built a successful career as Executive Vice President of Hawkins Construction while also dedicating significant time to community initiatives. In 1992, Jim helped start the Gretna Youth Wrestling Program, creating opportunities for young athletes that continue to benefit families in the Gretna community. He played a pivotal role in building a new playground for Gretna Elementary in 1996, an enduring contribution that has been enjoyed by generations of families in the community.
Natalie served as a Speech/Language Pathologist at Gretna Elementary for 20 years, where she positively impacted countless students and families. She continues her commitment to Gretna Public Schools through her participation in Tom Osborne's TEAMMATES Mentoring Program, where she has been an active mentor for the past three years.
The Gregory's are proud parents of four children, all of whom attended and graduated from Gretna Public Schools. Throughout the 22 years their children attended Gretna Schools, Jim and Natalie generously volunteered in the school system and numerous youth sports teams, demonstrating their strong belief in teamwork, mentorship, and community involvement.
Making a Difference for Gretna Students
Gretna Public Schools utilizes the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework-a structured approach designed to meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and emotional needs of all students through multiple levels of intervention.
Since 2016, the District has partnered with Complete Wellness to provide Licensed Mental Health Practitioners (LMHPs) who offer one-on-one support for students in need. This vital program continues to grow and evolve.
As of August 2024, Gretna Public Schools now has a dedicated LMHP serving both high schools, allowing students to meet with a mental health professional-often within two weeks or less of reaching out for help.
Why It Matters
Mental health challenges among young people have been rising for years, and the need for early, accessible support has only increased since COVID-19.
Our goal is simple but powerful: to ensure every student has access to the care they need-whether that means early intervention, crisis support, or anything in between.
