This cover art was created by Kamala Tamirisa, MD, a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist with Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia, based in Dallas, Texas.

A self-taught artist, her early work focused on acrylic and oil on canvas, as well as blown or repurposed glass. Today, she blends her traditional technique with digital reimagination. Her artwork has been featured in hospital fundraisers, public displays, and galas supporting causes such as empowerment of abused women and aid for displaced children.

This piece, The Electrophysiologist's Canvas, is a digital reinterpretation of her original acrylic painting, inspired by a ventricular tachycardia scar map. Merging the precision of electroanatomic mapping with expressive visual form, the work explores the intersection of clinical passion, spatial abstraction, and artistic expression.
