- Team entry fee $100.00.
- This includes 2 complimentary tickets to the event. Any additional team members must pay the event admission of $15.00.
- Teams may begin setting up at 7am but may not begin cooking until 8am.
- All food must be ready by 12:00 pm, winner will be announced at 2:30 pm
- Prepare to serve 150 4oz. servings
- Dish must be served over rice.
- Meat must be raw at check-in, but it can be pre-seasoned.
- We will supply serving bowls, utensils, and napkins.
- You must provide your own ingredients, rice (may be pre-cooked) cooking, utensils, tables, portable burners for cooking, etc.
- Electricity will not be provided.
- Only small, quiet generators are allowed.
- Cooking spots will be 12x12, tables and tents are welcomed (you will be outside)
- Teams must keep areas clean during the event and are responsible for cleaning at the end of the event.
- We will have trash cans placed throughout the event, but feel free to bring your own as well.
- If you plan to sell any additional food, drinks, products, or merchandise at your booth, you must contact us for approval beforehand, as a portion of sales will be shared with the event.
- Awards:
-Judges Choice - we will have a panel of judges that will rate each dish on a scale of 1-10. We will be giving out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for this category.
-Fan favorite Award - Every guest will be given one fan favorite ticket upon entry and will also be able to purchase more tickets for 1.00 on the day of the event. They will be asked to put these tickets into the jar of their favorite dish's table. (Jars will be provided) One award will be given for this category.

The RescYou Fest is more than just a community event-it's a day of remembrance, celebration, and connection. Hosted by The RescYou Group, this family-friendly festival brings people together to honor the lives of children who have passed away while providing hope and support for grieving families.
This year's event will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette, LA.
Guests can expect a fun-filled day featuring family booths, circus performers, a scavenger hunt, cook-off, kids' games, food, music, and prizes. Each family booth is uniquely themed around a child's personality and includes an interactive game with a prize, giving attendees the chance to celebrate that child's legacy in a meaningful way.
While the day is full of laughter, fun, and community spirit, it also carries a deeper purpose. The RescYou Fest shines a light on the importance of supporting families who are navigating the unimaginable loss of a child. It creates space to remember, to celebrate, and to remind families that their children will never be forgotten.
The mission of The RescYou Group is to provide financial aid for end-of-life expenses and offer emotional support for families who have suffered the loss of a child from one year of age to seventeen years old. By attending, sponsoring, or volunteering, you are helping us continue this mission and extend comfort and hope to families who need it most.
