Be A Wishmaker

Special Equestrians' 200-by-100-foot covered arena is the perfect space for our therapeutic riding classes! The Freedom Bridge, located next to our arena, allows us to assist riders when mounting their horses. The battery operated arm support lifts riders safely on their horses, providing unlimited freedom of movement! We aim to place a cover over the Freedom Bridge to protect riders, instructors, and volunteers from the scorching sun, heat, and rain.

The Viewing Area, an already covered area attached to our riding arena, is more than a place to escape the intense summer weather. The Special Equestrians' viewing area is a place of advocacy, friendship, rest, and reflection. It's the place where parents shed tears for first words and first trots off-line, and a place of celebration in the moments when rider and horse finally find the rhythm of the posting trot. It is a meeting and greeting place - a place of introductions, camaraderie, connections, and conversations. Under the advice of a structural engineer, we need to replace the water-damaged wooden beams running parallel to the steel cover with steel beams. Although our viewing area is deemed safe, it is compromised and will not stand the test of time. By proactively maintaining this viewing area, we attend to our facility and practice good stewardship of the gifts already received. We have a design and construction manager team ready to assist with this project. Please support our efforts and donate to our Wish Maker Project so we can cover our Freedom Bridge and replace beams in our viewing area, ensuring we can Make Miracles Happen for many years to come!

This essential project is valued at: $40,000.
