The LIFEPAK 1000 features Physio-Control's escalating ADAPTIV biphasic technology, providing a range of therapy of up to 360 Joules. What this means is that should your patient not respond to defibrillation, the AED will increase the Joules it delivers in hopes of best reviving the patient. This feature is highly regarded among rescue professionals, resulting in Physio-Control's LIFEPAK line of AEDs being the preferred choice by over 90% of first responders.

The first shock delivered is 200 Joules, and, should the first shock not revive the heart, the LIFEPAK 1000 will then escalate its therapy up to 360 Joules.
