BIO
Helen Ziga received a BA from Albright College and an MFA from Ohio University. As the child of a Hungarian mother and a Slovak-American father, she grew up loving art, literature, nature and science. These interests led her to attend local art programs in high school and formally continue her studies in art through her mid-20s.
Helen has exhibited both regionally and nationally. She has participated in group and solo exhibitions at the Dalton Gallery, the Alpharetta Arts Center, the Watson Gallery at the Distillery of Modern Art, Gallery 1740, the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, ARC Gallery in Chicago, the Dairy Barn in Athens, OH, and the Abington Art Center outside Philadelphia, among others. She also belonged to Zone One Gallery, an established artist cooperative located in the Philadelphia Olde City arts district.

As an arts professional Helen served as gallery chair at the Art Institute of Atlanta Gallery, worked at the Hambidge Center for the Arts and Sciences and marketed the Urban Art Collective in Chamblee, GA. As a textile and graphic designer, she traveled extensively, including Hangzhou, China and Taichung City, Taiwan.
In early 2022 she decided to focus her attention entirely on art making. She currently has a studio at the Atlanta Street Art Collective in Roswell, GA and is represented by Muse & Co Fine Art in Marietta, GA. She likes to create wherever she is and has worked in England and the Georgia coast. She completed her first artist residency at South Porch Artists Residency in June 2024. Based in Atlanta, she lives with her husband Chris, her son Lewis and their cat Daisy
