Bianca Guerrero

Watercolor, color pencil and pastel on paper

12" x 15"

Bianca Guerrero is a visual artist known for her vivid imagination and symbolic language. Born and raised in Kansas- often described as the "middle of nowhere" -she draws deeply from her upbringing to explore imagination as another layer of reality. Her creative process is rooted in her sensitivity to the environment , where even the rhythmic sway of wheat fields once initiated a meditative , process-driven invitation to create.

Over time, Guerrero has cultivated an expansive visual archive- a living library where she instinctively catalogs cherished imagery. Her influences range from the whimsical pages of childhood picture books (Little Critters ) to the captivating work of Mary Cassatt, Arnold Bocklin, and Antonio Mancini.
Her work often carries dark undertones, yet resilience glimmers through layers of complexity.

She builds these layers the way Erik Satie created his compositions. In her imagery , stringy decaying blossoms appear symbolizing the weight of lived experience. Though the petals seem withered their roots extend throughout compositions to connect everything as a whole. Even in decay, each element continues to play an essential role like the last notes of Gnossienne: No.1.
Symbolism is at the heart of Guerrero's practice. Her art is a vessel for universal emotion.
