A Rosie Day Art Summer Camp is a vibrant, art filled summer designed especially for creative city kids. Rooted in process art, imaginative exploration, and joyful summer play, our camp offers a warm and nurturing environment where children can create, build friendships, and feel inspired all summer long!

This summer marks an exciting new chapter for A Rosie Day as we expand and take over the main storefront, growing into two dedicated studio spaces. Our two studio model allows us to support age groups more intentionally, deepen projects, and create an even more thoughtful and inspiring camp experience. Our updated camp model includes more art, more hands on making, and more opportunities for collaboration and exploration.

Campers work across painting, sculpture, clay, fiber arts, mixed media, and collaborative installations throughout the summer. We are thrilled to have our working kiln, allowing campers to create and fire their own clay and ceramic pieces from start to finish.

Our teaching artists are practicing artists and educators who bring warmth, professionalism, and creativity into the studio each day. They care deeply about the work they create with campers and about fostering a welcoming, supportive environment. Our team is truly the best! <3

Outdoor time is an important part of our daily rhythm. We will head outside during the first part of the morning whenever weather allows so campers can enjoy cooler temperatures, fresh air, and time to move their bodies. Outdoor play helps strengthen friendships, build confidence, and gives campers space to let out energy through fun summer games, and of course water play on especially warm days! We rotate between local outdoor spaces including Grand Street Park and the newly reopened, shaded Berry Playground, which offers a wonderful extension of our camp day, especially during the hottest summer weeks.

To bring even more classic summer camp spirit into our city setting, we have added a ping pong table, lots of board games, and additional recreational elements to create a balanced day of creativity, movement, and connection for our artists!

Every Friday we will host a weekly art celebration that wraps up our week of creativity. These afternoons include mini art showcases, collaborative installations, and music! Friends and family of all ages are warmly invited to step into the studio before pickup to view the week's work and celebrate our artists together!

What to Expect:

A fun and supportive environment where children can express themselves freely in a process-based art studio
A wide range of art materials and mediums to explore
Experienced teaching artists to guide and inspire
Extended care is available until 5:00 PM for an additional fee.
Each week, artists ages 4 to 11 will dive into exciting new artistic mediums with a special focus and theme guiding their creative exploration.
