Own a piece of Island history! This 24x48 painting of the waterfront with one of the boats pulling up on blocks shows the boathouse, walkway, and fields in the fall, before the Waterfront Pavilion was built.
Norman Crump, a native Bostonian who has been painting landscapes throughout Boston and New England for over 50 years, is no stranger to the Island. In the 1980s, Norman moved his family to what was then known as Thompson's Island, where he became Captain of the Thompson Island Ferry, the Pilgrim IV.
Norman used his time on the Island to study and paint the city landscapes of Boston Harbor and its surrounding islands. Norman continues to work from his home studio in South Boston.
