Join us for an afternoon picnic on JVTF's downtown farm to support the Community Garden Project Fund! Ticket purchase includes buffet fare featuring 10 local chefs from popular Birmingham restaurants, along with a drink ticket, line dancing lessons by Desi Keith of D2 Line Dancing, and children's activities led by the beloved JVTF education team.
This fundraiser on the farm features opportunities to learn more about local community gardens and bid on a bevy of silent auction items. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, raise a glass, and settle in for a feast among the crops.

COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT FUND
Each year, this fund provides grants to new and emerging community gardeners who have completed our Good Community Food Fellowship. Since 2022, it has helped build and expand 9 community gardens across Alabama! This year, we're aiming to raise $12,000, which will allow us to build or expand one community garden. Every additional $6,000 raised will support one more garden!

"JVTF has made a life enhancing impact on my personal life, profession, and community work. I appreciate the family and community spirit of all activities that I have experienced from the fellowship, Cooking with Families, wreath making workshop, and more. I am mindful and intentional in duplicating this energy and feelings as I work alongside my neighbors to develop The Huffman Community Garden."
- Debbie Hamby, 2024 Community Garden Project Fund recipient for Huffman Community Garden
