Hosted by the American Red Cross, this annual event honored the remarkable individuals of Central New York who have saved lives, shown extraordinary bravery, and made a lasting impact on those around them.

Meet Our Keynote Speaker

Mayor Kurt Wheeler

Kurt Wheeler is a lifelong Cazenovia resident, a Harvard University graduate, and a retired United States Marine Corps officer who also spent 28 years as an award-winning teacher and coach at Cazenovia High School. Since 2011, he has served as Mayor of Cazenovia, helping attract over $50 million in investment and leading the redevelopment of Cazenovia College. He is the founder of Wheeler Leadership Solutions and has long been active in local civic and community organizations.
