SUPPORT THE FUTURE OF PSYCHOLOGY!

Each year, one in five Americans suffer from a mental health illness, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. Mental health professionals are in demand across the country, and around the world - in 2016, only 43 percent of Americans with mental health illnesses accessed treatment.

There are not enough mental health professionals to meet the need, and with so many Americans needing assistance, psychologists will be more important than ever before. With anticipated professional growth of 23 percent by 2026, careers in mental health are improving as society realizes healthy minds are just as important as healthy bodies.

Our mission at the Pennsylvania Psychological Foundation (PPF) is to provide a means for Pennsylvania psychologists and others to donate in order to advance the practice of psychology in the the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

We accomplish our mission by supporting:

  • Need-based financial assistance for psychology doctoral students (Click here to learn more
  • Public education resources
  • A colleague assistance program
  • Education-centered programs consistent with our mission and goals, like training to enable psychologists to tailor programs for specific groups which may require unique approaches following trauma.
