Painted live on the show floor at ICAST 2024, "Chaos at Sunrise 24" is a one-of-a-kind triptych by marine artists Dennis Friel and D. Redwine, created in the heart of the Star brite Project SeaSafe booth during the peak of show floor madness. This collaborative work-made up of three 26"x26" wood panels-was executed using traditional acrylic brushwork, capturing a high-voltage, early morning feeding frenzy. The composition loosely depicts yellowfin tuna crashing bait at the surface, with frigate birds diving in overhead, and baitfish exploding out of the frame. Bold hot and cool tones swirl together to recreate that electrified feeling of first light on open water.

The name "Chaos at Sunrise 24" says it all.

Painted amid the industry's biggest crowd, while dozens of brands, pros, and media passed through the booth, the piece was a race to the finish-and a reflection of the raw, fast-paced nature of both the fishing world and the artists' surroundings.

This year will be the third consecutive year Dennis Friel and D. Redwine have joined forces at ICAST to paint live at the Project SeaSafe booth for conservation.

Proceeds from this piece will benefit CCA - Coastal Conservation Association.
