Description: Our junior high theatre program provides authentic, hands-on learning experiences that blend creativity, design, and technical skill. Students build sets, construct props, and maintain stage equipment using power tools as part of real-world, project-based learning. This grant for a wall-mounted tool storage and charging station will enhance those experiences by creating an organized, efficient, and safe workspace where tools are properly stored, maintained, and charged for consistent use.

Having tools visible, accessible, and ready for use allows students to take ownership of their learning and participate more deeply in the creative process. The charging station ensures that tools remain powered and reliable, reducing downtime and promoting continuous engagement in design and construction tasks. Students will develop practical skills in tool care, organization, and safety-skills that mirror professional practices in theatre production and technical trades.

This grant will foster a stronger sense of responsibility and collaboration as students manage shared resources and work together to complete complex, meaningful projects. By improving access, efficiency, and safety in our theatre workspace, this project directly supports authentic, hands-on learning where students apply creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork to bring their ideas to life.
