Description: The Magnet Motion Lab provides students with a hands-on opportunity to explore magnetic forces, interactions, and kinetic motion in a tangible and engaging way. Using the kit's magnet wires, base plates, steel discs, iron filings, steel balls, and viewing stations, students can observe how magnets interact when placed at different distances, how they move along tracks, and how forces affect motion.

This grant will enhance authentic learning experiences in FISD by transforming abstract concepts in physical science and magnetism into interactive experiments. Students can manipulate variables, test hypotheses, and observe outcomes firsthand, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. Lessons can accommodate small groups or entire classes, ensuring every student actively participates and has opportunities to lead experiments or record observations.

By allowing students to directly investigate magnetic forces and motion, the Magnet Motion Lab promotes a deeper understanding of science concepts while fostering curiosity, engagement, and real-world application. This interactive approach helps students connect classroom learning to phenomena they encounter in everyday life, strengthening both comprehension and retention.
