Description: Our junior high theatre program provides students with authentic, hands-on learning experiences that blend creativity, collaboration, and technical skill. Central to our work are Ryobi tools, which students use to design and construct sets, props, and stage elements. Currently, depleted batteries disrupt workflow, limiting opportunities for students to fully engage in meaningful, project-based learning.
This grant for new Ryobi batteries will ensure reliable access to essential tools, allowing students to complete projects efficiently and safely. With uninterrupted tool use, students can actively problem-solve, develop practical craftsmanship skills, and see their creative ideas realized from concept to completion. Reliable equipment supports authentic experiences where students take ownership of their work, collaborate in teams, and build confidence through tangible outcomes.
By removing barriers to hands-on learning, this grant strengthens student engagement, fosters critical thinking, and deepens understanding of the technical and creative processes involved in theatre production. In short, these batteries directly enhance the quality and impact of our experiential learning, empowering students to learn by doing in a dynamic, real-world context.
