Description: The Rhythm Ready ECG Trainer grant will provide students in Friendswood ISD Health Science programs with hands-on, real-world learning experiences that prepare them for careers in healthcare. Through this innovative simulator, students will learn how to accurately place ECG leads, interpret heart rhythms, and connect theoretical knowledge to practical application-skills essential for future Patient Care Technicians, Medical Assistants, and nurses.
This technology will transform traditional classroom instruction into an authentic clinical environment, allowing students to practice identifying cardiac rhythms, troubleshoot errors, and build confidence in a safe, controlled setting before entering clinical rotations. The ECG trainer also supports certification exam preparation for NHA credentials, giving students a competitive edge as they pursue health science pathways.
By funding the Rhythm Ready ECG Trainer, FEF will help empower students to "learn by doing,? strengthen career readiness, and ignite a passion for patient care through interactive, hands-on education that mirrors real healthcare settings.
