Description: This series of grants will fund the purchase of the core electrical, mechanical, and structural components needed to build a competition-ready FRC robot for the 2026-2027 season. These parts-motors, controllers, gearboxes, wheels, bearings, belts, aluminum framing, wiring, sensors, pneumatics, and hardware-provide the essential foundation every team needs to begin designing, prototyping, and constructing their robot.

Friendswood High School's FRC team, Bluetonium, has grown rapidly and currently lacks the inventory depth to support a new season build without significant annual replenishment. With part availability, pricing, and supply chain variability, building an FRC robot from scratch each season places a major financial burden on the program. This parts kit ensures students have immediate access to the critical components required to design, fabricate, test, and iterate robot systems aligned with the new 2026-2027 game challenge. This allows us to start building immediately after kick-off rather than waiting weeks while sourcing essential parts which may go out of stock due to high demand.
