Description: This grant will provide a food processor for the culinary classroom, directly supporting authentic, hands-on learning for over 300 students throughout the year. With this tool, students will gain valuable real-world experience in food preparation techniques such as chopping, slicing, pureeing, and mixing-skills that mirror professional kitchen operations. The addition of a food processor will allow students to work more efficiently, explore a wider range of recipes, and understand the role of equipment in the foodservice industry.
By using industry-standard tools, students will strengthen their technical proficiency and confidence, preparing them for careers in culinary arts, hospitality, and related pathways. This equipment will also support collaboration and creativity as students design and execute their own recipes and catering projects.
