Description: This grant will fund the purchase of a Canon Vixia HF G70 UHD 4K camcorder and accessories to support the Friendswood High School Robotics Business Team-the group responsible for promoting, branding, documenting, and storytelling the work of our engineering students. High-quality video production is essential for capturing build season content, competition highlights, sponsor materials, outreach events, and the behind-the-scenes student experience that makes our program special.

Our robotics program depends on more than engineers-our Business Team drives fundraising, sponsor visibility, media presence, and community engagement. They produce the videos that help us secure grants, attract new sponsors, highlight student accomplishments, and grow support for STEM in Friendswood. Using borrowed phones and inconsistent footage undermines our ability to present the professional quality our students deserve and our sponsors expect. A Canon Vixia HF G70 with accessories (grip, SD cards, carrying case, spare batteries, mic) will equip our media students with the tools needed to record stable, cinematic, high-resolution content in the shop, on the field, at competitions, and during interviews.
